Parks and Natural Areas Roundtable Meeting Materials

The Parks and Natural Areas (PNA) Roundtable's mission is to "assist in the development of public policy initiatives to expand parks and natural areas in the 13-county H-GAC region for the improved quality of life, habitat, and water quality".

This group meets in a roundtable format, does not consist of a formal board, and is open to anyone interested in participating.

We will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the Community Center. Lunch will be provided. Tours of the community center, fire lookout tower, Herman Little Park, and Mercer-Timber Lane Park will follow from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Registration by May 11, 2023, is required for lunch and on-site transportation.

Past Meetings

Attendees celebrated the winners in the 2022 H-GAC Parks and Natural Areas Awards program. We learned about the award-winning projects and heard about new trends in park development from industry experts.

Members of the Parks and Natural Areas Roundtable enjoyed a field trip to Rick Rice Park on Thursday, November 17, 2022. The park is a 2015 winner in H-GAC's Parks and Natural Areas Awards and is owned and operated by Interstate Municipal Utility District.
