Gulf Coast Regional 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District

The GCRECD was created pursuant to Chapter 772, Health and Safety Code, Subchapter H on February 16, 2016 by adoption of resolutions by the counties and municipalities of Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Liberty, Matagorda, Walker, Waller, and Wharton counties. The GCRECD is a regional emergency communications district serving local governments in State Planning Region 16 and with boundaries coterminous with the Houston-Galveston Area Council as created under Chapter 391 of the Local Government Code.
