Study Summary and Goals

The Midtown Study provides analysis and recommendations for land use and infrastructure investments that create walkable, connected districts with distinct identities, great public spaces, and commercial activity. Specifically, the study recommends:

• Activating the intersection of Main Street and Holman Street as the heart of an Arts District with mixed-use developments and a home for the neighborhood’s art collaborative that can spark street-level activity during all hours of the day.
• Constructing a mixed-use retail and college student mid-rise building near the Houston Community College campus.
• Providing high-end office space in the neighborhood’s Design District
