The Implementation Strategy 9.0: Monitoring and I-Plan Revision includes four implementation activities and several sub-activities:

Implementation Activity 9.1

Continue to Utilize Ambient Water Quality Monitoring and Data Analysis

  • Sub-activity 9.1.1:Continue to Utilize Clean Rivers Program
  • Sub-activity 9.1.2: Test for Additional Indicators

Implementation Activity 9.2

Conduct and Coordinate Non-Ambient Water Quality Monitoring

  • Sub-activity 9.2.1: Create and use a regional non-ambient Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP)
  • Sub-activity 9.2.2: Create and maintain a regional non-ambient monitoring database
  • Sub-activity 9.2.3: Implement targeted monitoring

Create and Maintain a Regional Implementation Database

Implementation Activity 9.4

Conduct and Coordinate Non-Ambient Water Quality Monitoring

  • Sub-activity 9.4.1: Assess data
  • Sub-activity 9.4.2: Communicate results
  • Sub-activity 9.4.3: Continue the BIG
  • Sub-activity 9.4.4: Update the I-Plan
  • Sub-activity 9.4.5: Expand the geographic scope of the I-Plan as appropriate

H-GAC Basin Highlights and Summary Reports

Each year, H-GAC produces a report describing water quality within the H-GAC's Clean Rivers Program area, which includes the BIG project area. Most years, the report is called the Basin Highlights Report. Every five years, an in-depth report called a Basin Summary Report is produced.
