About the Regional Transportation Plan

The Regional Transportation Plan takes a 25-year view to set the framework for a balanced and forward-thinking transportation system. Within the plan are identified major investment strategies supporting traditional modes of travel, such as roadway improvements, and alternative modes, such as mass transit, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. With the help of transportation planners, engineers, elected officials, and the public, the Regional Transportation Plan document helps to identify transportation facilities and services needed to support the region's anticipated growth using available resources.
