SH 105 Widening from BS105T to SH 321

Liberty County

SH 105

SH 321, BS 105T

The facility had 54 crashes, 2 serious injuries and 2 fatalities during the period from 2015 to 2017. The truck volume on the facility is roughly 2,113 trucks per day and this represents 21.9% percent of the facility's AADT. The existing section consists of two travel lanes (one in each direction) with ten foot shoulders. SH 105 is a major east-west route. Projects are already scheduled to widen SH 105 in Harris County working east to Liberty County. This project is needed to provide system continuity with these future projects.

Build to ultimate 4-lane configuration

The purpose of this project is to reduce crashes, serious injuries and fatalities; reduce congestion on the facility and improve the reliability of peak-period travel times; reduce congestion and improve travel time reliability for freight movement on this facility. The purpose is also to upgrade this facility to the ultimate four lane section to provide continuity with future planned projects widening SH 105 from the west.
