Call for Planning Projects FY 2022-2023 Unified Planning Work Program

Currently, we are seeking proposals from local governments or other eligible project sponsors to submit planning studies to be included within the 2022-2023 UPWP.

Examples of planning studies include, sub-regional studies, thoroughfare plans, freight corridor studies, safety planning (Vision Zero), air quality planning, transit, bicycle pedestrian plan, travel demand data studies, and performance measurement.

Eligible Sponsors include:

  • The proposed planning activity must be located within H-GAC’s eight-county Transportation Management Area (TMA), which includes Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, and Waller counties.

  • If the applicant is not the general-local purpose government with jurisdiction over the study area and/or the transportation facility owner, the applicant must provide proof of support from the relevant agencies (i.e. the city or county that owns and operates the streets and sidewalks).

Parties interested in submitting Planning Projects for the 2022-2023 UPWP, must download and fill out the form and email the completed form to UPWP@h-gac.com.

Submissions are due April 8th, 2021 by 5:00pm.
