HOUSTON, TX – The Houston-Galveston Area Council, in partnership with the city of Friendswood, will host an interactive community meeting on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, to help shape the future of walking, biking and rolling in Friendswood.
During the community meeting, residents can explore existing conditions, respond to the draft Active Transportation Network, and help prioritize projects based on community goals for safer sidewalks, trails and street connections.
About the Friendswood Active Transportation Plan
The Friendswood Active Transportation Plan seeks to improve safety, connectivity and access for people walking, biking and rolling throughout the city — creating a more comfortable and convenient network for daily trips in Friendswood.
During the meeting, participants will be able to:
- Get an overview of the Friendswood Active Transportation Plan.
- Review current conditions and key findings from community surveys, pop-up events and walk audits.
Your feedback will directly shape final recommendations and ensure the plan reflects the community’s needs and priorities.
How to Get Involved
At the meeting, attendees can:
- Share priorities related to safety, access and mobility.
- Respond to the draft Friendswood Active Transportation Network Plan.
- Help identify and prioritize potential projects that best support community needs.
