Post-Harvey Aerial Imagery Specifications and Deliverables

Below are the Post-Hurricane Harvey imagery specifications and deliverables as outlined by H-GAC in August 2017. The deliverables are currently available for purchase by contacting the H-GAC Data Services GIS staff.

    • 1 Foot GSD in RGB (True Color)
    • 1 Foot GSD in CIR (Color-Infrared)

    • Leica ADS100 push-broom sensor
    • 12,500’ flight elevation with minimum 30% side lap
    • 2016 H-GAC Aerial Imagery ground control points and horizontal accuracy

    • True-Color/RGB 1 Foot tiles
    • Color-Infrared/CIR 1 Foot tiles
    • Mosaic Datasets included for both
    • Fully processed and edge-matched

Flight Timeline*

  • Initial acquisition flights
    • Aug. 30, 2017 - Sept. 6, 2017
  • Re-flights of distorted/cloud cover areas
    • Sept.7, 2017 - Sept. 8, 2017

*Due to time constraints attempting to capture as much flooding as possible, some areas were originally acquired with extreme distortion and cloud-cover making them unusable and therefore needed to be re-flown days later.
