About the Workshop
Part One: Behind the Ballot
Held virtually in fall 2025, Part One of the Election Law Workshop guided participants through critical pre-election steps, including candidate filing, candidate relations, contracting versus joint elections, and proper notices and publications. This session also emphasized the duties local governments must meet—even when contracting for election services. This foundation sets the stage for Part Two, which shifts from preparation to practice.
Part Two: The Election Process Unveiled
Part Two of the Election Law Workshop equips participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of election law, whether conducting elections or contracting for services.
