2045 RTP - Moving Our Region into Tomorrow
Learn what’s next for the 2045 Regional Transportation Plan at one of our upcoming public meetings. We will highlight an expert panel featuring “Transportation 101: What You Need to Know.” Click HERE for meeting times and locations. During the public meetings, our expert transportation panelists will discuss future transportation projects in your area selected from the recent "2018 Call for Projects" application process. The panel will also talk about air quality and conformity initiatives, regional resiliency efforts, and when the 2045 RTP draft plan will be unveiled.

2045 Active Transportation Plan
The Houston-Galveston Area Council is developing the 2045 Active Transportation Plan, an update to the 2040 plan, which can be found on the Regional Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan website.

The 2045 Active Transportation Plan will outline a vision for enhancing pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure within the eight-county region and guide planning and investment in walkways and bikeways.

As the region grows, greater demand will be placed on our already congested transportation system. Improving and expanding our active transportation network will create more mobility options for everyone while improving public health and supporting economic development.
