Quality-assured data means data that comply with commission rules for surface water quality monitoring programs, including rules governing the methods under which water samples are collected and analyzed and data from those samples are assessed and maintained. The Multi-Basin (formerly called Regional) Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) has been developed between the H-GAC and the TCEQ to carry out the activities mandated by the legislation. Six local agencies comprehensively monitor water quality across the San Jacinto River Basin and the various coastal basins in the Houston metropolitan area:
H-GAC’s Multi-Basin Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) describes all local partner data collection activities. The data will be integrated into the statewide water quality database.
