Federal Certification Review, June 27-29, 2017 -- Representatives from the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration conducted a Public Listening Session on June 28, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO), 1900 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002, to receive public comment on the metropolitan transportation planning process
H-GAC hosted a public meeting on the 2017 Public Participation Plan and the Draft 2018-2019 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) on Thursday, June 29, 2017, 5:30-7:00 PM at the H-GAC offices. A 45-day public comment period for the PPP and a 30-day public comment period for the UPWP were observed as required.
H-GAC hosted a series of 7 public meetings around the region in June to receive comments on the Draft RCTP. H-GAC representatives were available at these meetings to answer questions. Staff contact for the RCTP is Kari Hackett (713-993-4576).
H-GAC held a public meeting on Tuesday March 7, 2017 from 5:30 pm–6:30 pm at the H-GAC offices for a potential project addition tothe 2017-2020 TIP. The project was the West Airport Blvd, 4-Lane Extension for $28.2 M. The public comment period began on Monday, February 27, 2017 and ended on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

H GAC has proposed an overall goal for the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) in its contracts with financial assistance provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) (see www.h-gac.com/taq/plans_programs/dbe). H-GAC hosted a workshop for DBEs on Thursday, August 25, 2016, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. 3555 Timmons Lane, 2nd Floor in Conference Room B, Houston, TX 77027. A public meeting was held on Thursday, August 25, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the same location.
H-GAC held a public comment period on the Draft 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The public comment period began on Monday, April 11, 2016 and ended on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Two public meetings were held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from Noon-1:00 p.m. and from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the H-GAC offices, 3555 Timmons Lane, 2nd Floor Conference Room A, Houston, TX 77027.
H-GAC held a public comment period for Major Amendments to the 2015-2018 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) as well as a new transportation conformity determination for the 2015-2018 TIP and the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). The public comment period began Wednesday, March 16, 2016 and ended Friday, April 15, 2016. Two public meetings were held on Thursday, March 31, 2016, from Noon-1:00 p.m. and again from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the H-GAC offices.

The Draft Plan is available for review at Draft Title VI Program Plan. The 14-day public comment period began on Monday, July 27, 2015 and ended on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.

H-GAC hosted a public meeting on the Draft 2016-2017 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the H GAC offices. The 30-day public comment period for the Draft 2016-2017 UPWP began on Sunday, May 17, 2015 and ended Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 5 p.m.
H-GAC hosted a public meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the White Oak Conference Center, 7603 Antoine Drive, Houston, TX 77088, to receive comments on recommended improvements to SH 249 between I-45 and Beltway 8, and connecting streets, bicycle/pedestrian networks, and transit systems. H-GAC hosted a public meeting on February 17, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for review of an additional air quality analysis to support a finding of conformity with the Clean Air Act and associated regulations for the 2015-2018 TIP and the 2040 RTP. This additional analysis reflects the advancement of several projects using FY 2015 Proposition 1 funds and supplements the conformity analysis and documentation previously produced for the RTP and TIP. The public comment period began on Friday, February 13, 2015 and ended on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 5:00 pm.
H-GAC hosted two public meetings on two proposed major amendments to the 2015-2018 TIP for the FY 2015 Proposition 1 Funding on February 3, 2015.
