You Wanted to Know... What is a Conformity Determination?
A Conformity Determination demonstrates that implementation of projects in the current Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) are consistent with emissions reductions from on-road vehicles contained in the State air quality Implementation Plan for our 8-county area.

A new conformity determination must be performed any time a transportation plan is amended in a significant manner when a region's or state's air quality goals change, or every four years.

The 2017 conformity determination is being prepared to support amendments to the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The conformity process depends on federal, state, and local transportation and air quality agencies working together to meet transportation conformity requirements. These requirements ensure that transportation plans, programs, and projects are consistent with the State emissions budgets and will not delay timely attainment of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards  (NAAQS).

The 2045 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP)

Communicating updates about the 2045 RTP is as important as receiving public feedback is to the development of an effective plan. Comments received in the planning process are considered and incorporated into deliberations regarding proposed plans and programs.
The RTP is a guiding document that sets multimodal transportation investment priorities for the region. It has an impact on all residents who face daily transportation challenges.

Fixed bus route service to begin in 2018
The Cleveland-Ripley Neighborhood Center hosted public meetings for Harris County Community Services Department Office of Transit Services (HCT) on September 21, 2017 and October 3, 2017.
Topics discussed and on display were proposed transit routes and bus stops for the City of Pasadena. Public comment and feedback was welcomed. HCT provided a demonstration video of the Pasadena fixed bus service, showing connectivity to San Jacinto College, Houston METRO, the Social Security Office, Strawberry Clinic, and more.
Attendees received informational pamphlets, a walk-through of the proposed route maps, schedules, and ADA availability. Both public meetings were well attended as nearly 2,000 residents joined the discussion.
