FY 2011-2013 DBE Goal
As required by Section 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26, H-GAC has determined an overall goal for the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) in its contracts for financial assistance provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT):

DBE Program
Thank you for your interest in the H-GAC’s DBE Program. H-GAC, as the MPO is committed to the participation of DBEs in contracting opportunities in accordance with federal regulations 49 C.F.R. Part 26.
Doing Business with H-GAC
Procurement opportunities with H-GAC are posting periodically on our website, http://www.h-gac.com/rfp. DBE firms are strongly encouraged to participate.
Consultant Database
H-GAC maintains a database of consultant firms who have an interest in conducting business with H-GAC. To be included in this database, please complete the Consultant Survey Form. Fax completed forms to 713-993.4508, ATTN: Lydia Abebe. The H-GAC Consultant Database includes both DBE certified firms and non-DBE firms and is updated on or near the 15th of each month.
DBE Certification
The Texas Unified Certification Program is a certification process for the Federal DBE Programs in Texas. A business' DBE certification is valid at any Texas entity that receives USDOT funds and has a DBE Program.
Small businesses desiring DBE certification must submit an application to one of six certifying agencies within the state. The business' location determines which agency to contact.
The City of Houston’s Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance Division is the certifying agency for the Houston region. For information, http://www.houstontx.gov/obo/index.html.
NOTE: H-GAC is not a certifying agency.

Statewide DBE Database
The official TUCP DBE database includes DBE firms certified by the agencies throughout the state of Texas.
