The Regional Air Quality Planning Committee (RAQPC) is appointed by the H-GAC Board of Directors to assist and advise H-GAC, regional and local governments, transportation organizations and other agencies on air quality issues. The Committee reviews air quality plans for the H-GAC region and recommends actions necessary to improve the region's air quality. RAQPC includes representatives of local government, public health, transportation, industry, business, environmental organizations and citizens drawn from the eight-county nonattainment area.
2010 Air Quality Reference Guide for the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria Area
In 2010 the Regional Air Quality Planning Committee in conjunction with H-GAC staff created an updated version of the 2002 Air Quality Reference Guide for the HGB Nonattainment Region. This guide is designed for the citizens of the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria region to better understand air quality, pollutants, the current status of 'Ozone Nonattainment,' and what can be done to improve air quality for our citizens' health and safety.
