WHAT: Attend a FREE public meeting and workshop, hosted by the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), to learn about the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and 2008-2011 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) Conformity Process.

This workshop will present the recent air quality conformity analysis conducted by H-GAC to ensure that projects within the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and the 2008–2011 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) meet our region's air quality goals. It will provide citizens with a better understanding of the complicated conformity process to increase public participation and input.

The RTP is the comprehensive, long-term plan that identifies the transportation needs and improvements that will be required to keep up with expected population growth in the Houston-Galveston region in the next 30 years. In addition to outlining the changes to our transportation system, the RTP must contribute to improving air quality. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting and provide comments.
