H-GAC is conducting an access management study to identify cost-effective transportation improvements for the 18.7-mile section of SH 105 between Loop 336 in Conroe and US 59 in Cleveland. The study corridor crosses Montgomery, San Jacinto and Liberty Counties to end at US 59 in Cleveland. This roadway had more than 500 crashes in the three-year period between 2007 and 2009 and some sections have crash rates more than double the statewide average. High traffic volumes, high vehicular speeds and limited existing roadway capacity are all contributing factors to the safety problem that exists on the study corridor. This access management study will develop recommendations to improve traffic flow, safety and quality of life along SH 105.
