She is responsible for coordinating operations and daily activities, long-and-short term planning, staff supervision and program compliance to state and federal rules and guidelines.

 

Mark Pemberton, Regional Homeland Security Coordinator

The Coordinator is responsible for managing the various funding programs with local governments, preparing the regional Homeland Security Plan and participating in and providing staff support for public and private sector meetings and workshops. Responsibilities also include interfacing with city, county, and state emergency management officials and federal regulatory agencies on emergency preparedness matters.

Faye Prevot, Regional Homeland Security Senior Planner

The Senior Planner provides assistance to local jurisdictions with the annual grant application process, information on Citizen Corps Train-the-Trainer courses for the H-GAC region, CERT activities, and the annual grant application process. Duties also include serving as the primary contact for updating GDEM emergency plans, development of formal mutual aid agreements, and coordinating homeland security equipment monitoring visits.

 

Heather Brown, Regional Homeland Security Project Planner

The Project Planner provides assistance to local jurisdictions relating to various subjects. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of the Regional Tactical Interoperability Plan, Regional Catastrophic Incident Plan, State Strategic Implementation Plan and other state directed tasks. The project planner will also assist in locating and applying for grants related to Homeland Security.

 

Tonya Salinas, Homeland Security Specialist

The Specialist works with jurisdictions regarding NIMS compliance, Mutual Aid development, and TRNN advocacy. This includes regional planning, staff support, grant assistance, and exercise planning and coordination.

Mandy Mullis, Public Safety Program Secretary

She maintains the Public Safety Program calendar and reporting requirements, provides programmatic and technical assistance, assists in preparation of board materials, Regional Planning Committee materials, and program specific-reports.
