Census Thematic Maps

Thematic maps are data maps of a specific subject or for a specific purpose. Statistical thematic maps include a variety of different map types such as chloropleth or shaded maps, dot maps, proportional symbol maps, and isarithmic maps. Special purpose maps generally concentrate on a single theme, such as population density or median income level.

Geographic Information System software makes the spatial display of data more accessible than ever before. H-GAC's GIS analysts have produced a number of 28"x40" full color maps of demographic information, as well as geographic features.
