H-GAC's 2012 General Assembly Annual Meeting is scheduled for
Friday, January 27, 2012, at the Intercontinental Houston Hotel, located at
2222 West Loop South, Houston, Texas, 77027.
The Speaker at the 2012 Annual Meeting will be
State Representative Larry Taylor.
Please save the date--Friday, January 27, 2012--and plan to attend the 2012 Annual Meeting when the Board's new officers will be installed.
Nominated for 2012 officers are:
Chair, City of Manvel Mayor Delores Martin
Chair Elect, Harris County Judge Ed Emmett
Vice Chair, City of Pasadena Councilman Darrell Morrison.
Ballots will be mailed to 2012 General Assembly delegates the week of January 9. Delegates should mark their ballots and return them by mail no later than Monday, January 23. The ballots will be opened, counted, and results announced at the Annual Meeting on January 27.

State Representative Larry Taylor will be the primary speaker at the 2012 General Assembly Annual Meeting. He currently serves as the Chairman of the House Elections Committee. He is a member of the House Insurance Committee and of the House Select Committee on Voter Identification and Voter Fraud. In addition, he serves as a member of the Energy Council, responsible for facilitating the development of national energy policy matters among the Southwestern states, as well as Co-Chairman of the Joint Windstorm Insurance Legislative Oversight Board.
