Subcommittees

Planning and Policy

• Subcommittee members develop long range goals and make recommendations to APAC concerning policy changes.

Organizational Review

• Subcommittee members review proposals to provide services and make recommendations to APAC regarding funding of service providers.

Nominations

• Subcommittee members work with Houston-Galveston Area Council Area Agency on Aging staff to formulate a slate of officers for APAC.

Membership

• Subcommittee members coordinate with staff to develop a list of recommended appointments from a list submitted by the H-GAC Board of Directors and others.

Ombudsman Task Force

• Subcommittee members serve as nursing home advocates by visiting nursing homes once per week and attending quarterly training sessions.
