Regional Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP)

Quality-assured data means data that comply with commission rules for surface water quality monitoring programs, including rules governing the methods under which water samples are collected and analyzed and data from those samples are assessed and maintained. The Regional Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) has been developed between the H-GAC and the TCEQ to carry out the activities mandated by the legislation. Seven local agencies comprehensively monitor water quality across the San Jacinto River Basin and the various coastal basins in the Houston metropolitan area: City of Houston Department of Health and Human Services, City of Houston Water Quality Control Laboratory, San Jacinto River Authority with Woodlands Division and Lake Conroe Division, City of Pearland, Environmental Institute of Houston at the University of Houston Clear Lake, Harris County Environmental Public Health Division, and Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC). H-GAC’s Regional Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) describes all local partner data collection activities. The data will be integrated into the statewide water quality database.
