Fourth Ward

 
     

The Fourth Ward Livable Centers Study was a 9-month process divided into four tasks:




Task 1: Assess the needs in the community
Task 2: Generate recommendations for solving key issues
Task 3: Explore feasibility of recommendations
Task 4: Present final implementation plan

The study area is defined by the area of the Fourth Ward Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ). Read the details here.

We’ve talked with residents and found out that these were some top priorities:






Historic Preservation (brick streets, historic houses, interpreting local history)
Walkability (sidewalks and connections around the neighborhood)
Access to parks, creation of well-programmed park space in the community
Resume weekend bus service (#48)
Improve street circulation for cars
Upgrading utilities (bury utility lines, increase pedestrian lighting, improve utility service)
