Livable Centers

Livable Centers are walkable, mixed-use places that provide multimodal transportation options, improve environmental quality and promote economic development. H-GAC receives funding from sponsors for a Livable Centers Program to work on planning studies by applying program goals to a specified study area and on implementation projects, "on the ground projects" identified in a Livable Centers study or other planning efforts.
