The Houston-Galveston Area Council strives to promote economic development and job creation throughout the 13-county upper gulf coast region of Texas.
The Houston-Galveston Area Local Development Corporation (H-GALDC), d.b.a. Small Business Finance Corporation, was created by H-GAC to promote economic development and job creation through the SBA 504 loan program.
The SBA 504 loan program provides businesses with long-term, fixed rate financing for major fixed assets. Loans can be used for new buildings, to renovate existing structures or to purchase machinery and equipment.
Gulf Coast Economic Development District (GCEDD)
The goal of the GCEDD is to serve as a regional clearinghouse for Economic Development information and provide technical assistance for the purpose of stimulating the economy within the H-GAC region. Our resources also extend towards programs that assist our cities and counties with community improvement and housing.
