H-GAC and the Office of the Secretary of State are co sponsoring the 2008 Election Law Workshop on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Marriott Houston Hobby Airport. This comprehensive workshop on how to conduct an election includes an overview of the updated Election Law Handbook.
A special presentation from the Office of the Secretary of State will be held in the morning for election officials. The afternoon session will include the detailed update on election law and step-by-step procedures for conducting an election. See attached agenda for details.
Deadline for registration and payment to attend the workshop is February 15, 2008. The registration and invoice process have been automated. You can register on line by click here. The registration fee is $95. This includes continental breakfast, lunch and one copy of the Election Law Handbook. If you find that you cannot attend, you can use the registration form to order an individual copy(s) of the handbook at a cost of $50 (including postage).
We request that you register early so that we can be sure to have adequate space, materials and handbooks ready.
