PURPOSE:
|
Address regional health planning issues that affect public health and well-being across the 13-county H-GAC region including, but not limited to emergency healthcare services, mental health and substance abuse services, disaster preparedness, response and recovery, and access to appropriate primary care services.

MEMBERSHIP
REQUIREMENTS:
|
No less than 20 members and no more than 39 members appointed by the H-GAC Board.
- Should include representatives of both Regional Advisory Councils (RAC’s) Q and R, level one trauma centers, representatives from hospitals, hospital districts and authorities; health care professionals, EMS providers, representatives of MHMRA authorities and other mental health and substance abuse providers, representatives of health care collaborative and clinics, and elected or appointed city and county officials.
- Each in the 13-county region will be represented by at least one member.
