The facility had 10 crashes, 0 serious injuries and 0 fatalities during the period from 2015 to 2017. The truck volume on the facility is roughly 1,841 trucks per day and this represents 26.4% percent of the facility's AADT.
Increase pavement width and add left turn bays and shoulders
The purpose of this project is to reduce crashes, serious injuries and fatalities on this facility.

Yes, the project directly connects to or is on an evacuation route. During the project design, coordination will take place with the Liberty County floodplain coordinator regarding increases to the roadway surface elevation.
The proposed project improves highway/freight LOS. The turn lanes proposed in the project
should help reduce queuing of vehicles for turns and should help reduce rear-end collisions.
